| Korte omschrijving: | Together with one other student you will form a team to prepare and execute an assignment during the HvA-HES fact-finding Mission to China. Each team is responsible for acquiring its own assignment that is commissioned by a Dutch company or organization. The complexity and feasibility of each assignment will be assessed and approved by the instructors of the school. Fieldwork of the assignments will be executed on location during a four-week visit to China. The 2009 mission is focused on the Shanghai region. Part of the course will also be taught in Shanghai in collaboration with the Shanghai Donghua University. Objectives of the minor are: - Introduction to business issues in other cultures - Learn how to network in the business community dealing with China - Learn how to execute a real life assignment on location in China: To initiate a business relation between China and The Netherlands. |

| Toegankelijk voor: | The Minor ‘China’ is aimed at all students of the HvA who have a special interest in doing business or building relationships in or with China. |
| Voorwaarden toelating: | Literature and courses are in English. Participation in the fact-finding mission on location (in China) is obligatory. Visitors to China need a visa. For Dutch passport holders, tourist visas can usually be issued within one week. Additional cost of participation is € 1.750,- per student (This includes the roundtrip ticket , 4 weeks lodging (share double room) and the Shanghai educational program). Please note that during the course you also learn how to acquire a sponsor for your assignment. This may reduce your total participation cost substantially! Note: Doing business in China can be challenging and may require quite a lot of stamina of you. This mission is certainly not a holiday. You will face emotional, practical, cultural and maybe even physical challenges during your mission. However, your reward will be a true life experience that is unparalleled by any other course of your study! |
